If you have a minute, go to the Notable Guest Stars section of the 30 Rock page at Wikipedia and just marvel at how long and impressive that list is.
You’d almost think they didn’t have, or need, as talented a cast as they do the way they parade top-shelf temporary talent through. From Paul Reubens to Isabella Rossellini in wacky roles and from John McEnroe to Al Gore as themselves, this show has serious Hollywood pull (all the more impressive that they film in New York).
Well, now it seems Tina Fey and Co. have reeled in the bookend to Nathan Lane’s season 2 stint as Jack’s con-man brother. This, according to TVGuide.com…
Matthew Broderick is segueing from Broadway Producer to TV guest star. Filmdom’s erstwhile Ferris Bueller (and the hubby of Sexy Sarah Jessica Parker) has been enlisted to appear on an upcoming episode of NBC’s 30 Rock, playing “Cooter, an enthusiastic, clean-cut government employee who befriends Jack (Alec Baldwin).” Perhaps he will teach Jack how to succeed in business without really trying?
An interesting bit of trivia relating to Parker is that 30 Rock films at the same Silvercup Studios in Long Island City that was home to Parker’s Sex and the City and The Sopranos.
