davidcook.jpg“American Idol” contestant David Cook was reportedly treated at a nearby hospital shortly after performing “Little Sparrow” on last night’s show.

TMZ reports that Cook experienced heart palpitations and blood pressure that was “far too high,” but chose not to be admitted until after the show’s conclusion. Although he was “released a few hours later,” his condition was “still not resolved” as of the item’s posting time of 12:49 a.m.

TMZ also reportedly spoke with a source that revealed that Cook’s brother, Adam, had a setback last week in his battle against cancer. The letters AC on the contestant’s white guitar are reportedly a tribute to Adam Cook. Keep on fightin’, Adam!

Despite feeling under the weather, David Cook delivered one of the episode’s best performances last night. Click here to read more about it.
