More than a month ago, Rickey over at Riding With Rickey tagged yours truly with a meme. Revenge for a meme I’d tagged him with, I suppose.
Anywho, I kept meaning to hold up my end of the bargain, and I finally have. It’s the movie meme, and the idea is that I’m supposed to look up my 15 favorite movies on IMDB, choose quotes from them, list them here and make you figure out what movies they are.
Aha, but this is a TV blog, I hear you thinking! Never fear, I’ve got that all figured out. No worries, I didn’t choose a bunch of Lifetime women-as-victim movies. Rather, I started with actors from our favorite TV shows. Then, I found relatively well-known characters they played in movies, found quotes from them and posted them here.
So not only do you have to figure out what movie the line is from, but you also have to figure out which actor uttered it. To make things a weeeeeee bit easier, I’ll tell you the actors I selected, but they’re not in the same order as the quotes. I’ve alphabetized the actors, by last name:

NO CHEATING. You may not look the quotes up on IMDB and then get all the answers correct. You must use your brain; you know, the part of your brain that stores all that useless movie trivia. You all have it; if you didn’t, you wouldn’t be reading a television blog now, would you?

You got 'em both! Admittedly, some of these quotes are possibly a little too obscure.
#4 – Donald Sutherland in "Animal House." Hmmm, I'm trying to figure out which one is Kiefer's and am drawing a blank…

Most excellent, Rickey… Sorry it took me so long to get around to it! It is probably among the most enjoyable memes… And, yes, indeed, you are correct on No. 4. I tried not to choose an obvious one for Kiefer….
#12 Waitress. Sorry, I knew that one… oh boy.
I was wondering who'd get that one! And Adam, there is no shame in having seen Waitress. I've seen it. And even though I'm a girl, I do tend more toward the violent and action-filled than the wistful relationship-ish comedy.

Ok, this is purely a guess based on what little I do know about this movie (because I haven't seen it yet), but I'm going to say Quote #5 is Katherine Heigl from Knocked up?

Am I nuts, or is #2 not said by an actor you have listed above…? I'm pretty sure it's Kevin Spacey in LA Confidential… (Great flick by the way).
Sigh. I wish I had the guts to say it was a trick, but, alas, this is what happens when you start IMDBing in the middle of the night. Apparently, Kiefer played Det. Jack Vincennes in the 2003 unsold TV pilot for L.A. Confidential (ironically enough, given the quote). The quote itself, however, is from the film version and, yes, Spacey spake it.
And when I found the quote, I remember thinking to myself, "Kiefer was in L.A. Confidential? I didn't remember that."
Now I know why.

I had no idea Kiefer was in an L.A. Confidential tv series. Or that an L.S. Confidential series actually existed in the first place… it must've not been so great.
#1, 6 & 14 are very familiar to me, but I am terrrrrr-ible at movie quotes… darn it!

That one was bugging me all day yesterday because I knew I heard it somewhere before. It finally dawned on me last night (and it definitely was a tough one!)
