The future of the Blackjack Fairgrounds Jericho blog carnival

Sometime last week when I wasn’t around, I got an e-mail from Blackjack Fairgrounds Jericho Blog Carnival stalwart Anna of A Day in the Life.
Even though Season 2 of Jericho is over, she asked, would the carnival continue?
Before that moment, to be honest, it hadn’t occurred to me to continue it. TV blog carnivals tend to post a few days after each new episode. During the off-season, the carnivals generally are on hiatus.
But I didn’t e-mail Anna back right away (well, four days later, when I finally got back to my e-mail), because I started thinking about it.
There’s a heckuva lot of Jericho news out there these days and a lot of interesting stuff being written.
So I’m game if you are.
Let me know in the comments under this post what you think. My main idea is that it would be every two weeks rather than every week.
But this is what I’ll need from you:
• Guest hosts. This basically entails being the host blog for the carnival each week. You have to read the submitted entries and post a sentence or two that sums them up. Check out Jane’s turn as guest host to get the idea. If you have a blog, livejournal or website of any kind, you can guest host. you’re interested, e-mail me.
• Entries! If you see an article that should be in the carnival, urge the writer to submit it. If you write an article about Jericho, submit it. I think we can expand the carnival to posts about the state of television ratings and the like, but those posts should still mention Jericho.
Share your thoughts, and if there’s enough interest, I’ll bring back the carnival. Fair?
And here’s a little more bloggy goodness for you:
• Love crosswords, word search puzzles AND Jericho? This is the page for you.
• Want to pre-order Season 2? Go here. The list price is $39.99, but Amazon’s selling it for $25.99 and you can get free shipping. Gift wrap available. (Hey, Christmukkah is only 8 months away!)
• Want to know the extras on the Season 2 DVD? Check out the info from iF Magazine. The alternate ending, natch, is among them, as well as a featurette called “Nut Job” about how fans brought the show back.
• Learn how to keep Jericho on people’s minds just by clicking a lot on IMDB (c’mon, you know you’re on the site all the time anyway), on filmmaker Penny Ronning’s blog.
And, remember, tell me how you feel about continuing the carnival in the comments below. (Though I can figure out how that’s going to go already, I think.)

Amy, you know I'm all for it. I'll even host as needed. This is a great idea!! Thanks!
A,
I think we have a golden oppurtunity to document history in the making all over again. I believe I can submit something every couple weeks and I will try to schedule a hosting as well.
B.
I have enjoyed the carnival, and with all the rumors, the upcoming Jerichon and the continuing letter-writing campaign, etc. there is plenty to blog about. Sounds good to me!
And I nervously volunteer my blog as host if needed.
I think it's a good idea to continue as well, Amy. Just as Erika noted, with the rumors swirling around right now about Jericho's future (ComCast anyone?), this would be a great way to keep everyone up-to-date with what's going on.
Amy, I think it is a wonderful idea to continue the carnival. I think the Great Rewatch would be a good topic for discussion. Unfortunately I have no blog so I can't offer to host.
I think keeping the carnival alive is a great idea as well, especially since there is so much buzz in the air still! I'd be willing to step up and guest host also.
Amy, I forgot to add that Jane and I gladly offer Margie and Edna's blog to host too.
Amy, this is a rhetorical question, right?
Of course, it should continue. I am willing to help in whatever way I can. I think there's still plenty to talk about!
I was hoping the carnival would continue. It's such a great way to find out what's going on. Don't have a blog so I can't host but kudos in advance to those that do.
Though I can figure out how that’s going to go already, I think.
Teehee!!! Really, what would make you say that?
How can Brad be more important to the show than Skeet??
Just wondering…...
And is Skeet a supporting character? Thanks!
Grace! Some overzealous fans added Skeet. The poll didn't include him at the start, because it was supposed to be SUPPORTING actors/actresses. But we allow folks to add their own answers to polls, and someone added Skeet, and, naturally, some folks couldn't help but vote for him even though he's one of the stars, not a supporting actor. C'est la vie.
Of course, everyone, if all those who'd voted for Skeet had used those votes on Brad, he'd be far in first place right now. Just sayin'.
Anyhow, I guess we're going ahead with the blog carnival. Details to come tomorrow.
I don't think the poll is very fair to Lennie then.
Just sayin'
Well, Lennie wasn't listed, either, because he's one of the stars. Trust me, if it'd been fair to, I would have stacked the deck with all Jericho folks… lol
Yay! I agree with everyone, there is plenty of news out there to post about and a lot of creative fans out there to submit fanfic etc…
Oh and I forgot to add that I would be willing to guest host. I like the idea of every two weeks. It would give people (and the hosts) a chance to take everything in.
Absolutely keep the carnival going. I love reading all the information here. It is a lot of fun and there is so much to talk about when it comes to Jericho.
