‘Bones’ poaches ‘Lost’ cast

This is one of those weird things that happens sometimes, perhaps only to people who watch WAY too much TV.
They start seeing characters from their favorite show everywhere.
Take last night’s all-new episode of “Bones.”
Brennan and Booth are investigating the murder of a motorcycle champion, when who shows up to defend a few of the key suspects?
None other than Mr. Friendly from “Lost!”
Yup, M.C. Gainey made a guest appearance as a lawyer.
No biggie, it was just one of those “oh, look who that is” moments before I went back to flipping through the latest J. Crew catalog and paying half-attention to the “Bones” plot.
(Who DIDN’T see the twin sister as the murderer coming about a half-hour into the show?)
But at the end, the trailer for next week’s “Bones” popped up, showing our intrepid investigators looking into the death of a college basketball player.
And guess which Lostie shows up in that one?
As in: Dynamite blew me up Doc Artz.
As in: “You got a little Artz on you,” Doctor Artz.
OK, maybe it’s not so weird. Actors Gainey and Daniel Roebuck are presumably out there hustling some jobs, since they’ve both gone belly up on “Lost.”
Still.
There is room for a little more crossover, don’t you think? “Bones” is about a forensic anthropologist, after all.
Maybe Dr. Brennan could help Charlotte dig up that polar bear in Tunisia! And I bet she’d have that funky time-travel mystery figured out in no time…

I love Doctor Arzt! (He was probably my favorite part of the Nikki/Paulo flashback episode. I love it when dead Losties re-appear.) It’s been a long time since I’ve watched the show though, I guess I’d better tune in next week.
Is Walt’s mom still on “Bones”, too?
Beth, you’re my hero—I TOTALLY forgot that Tamara Taylor, who’s Dr. Saroyan on “Bones,” played Walt’s mother!
Weird that all of those “Bones” actors died on “Lost,” isn’t it?
That is weird, and fitting I suppose, considering the nature of “Bones”.
