‘Lost’ scoop! Straight from the super-producers….

So the superheroes of “Lost”—otherwise known as executive producers and writers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse—just held a conference call for reporters who were clamoring for the deets on the show’s April 24 return.
Along with, you know, just about everything else we’re wondering about the series.
They gave some great info, and I’m going to let them elaborate more in their own words next week, when I’ll post sound bites from the call Monday through Wednesday in the ramp-up to Thursday’s all-new episode. (And of course, our weekly “Lost” debate will resume Thursday, too.)
But for now, here’s a few tidbits on what to expect for the rest of Season 4 … and beyond.
ON THE THREE-HOUR SEASON FINALE:
• The title of the episode—which starts May 15 (at 10 p.m.) and concludes May 29 (from 9 to 11 p.m.)—is “There’s No Place Like Home.” (Yes, that’s another Wizard of Oz reference, just like Ben’s former alias, Henry Gale.)
• Expect a Jack-Locke showdown.
• You’ll finally see the wildly anticipated (and hyped at the last Comic-Con) Orchid video.
• The producers went to ABC asking for another hour of time this season when they read their 80-page first draft of the finale, and saw no way to cut it down to 55 pages.
ON THE APRIL 24 EPISODE:
• We’ll learn whether Rousseau was killed or not.
• The smoke monster’s back!
ON WHAT HAPPENS IN BETWEEN:
• Look for a “healthy dose” of Jacob.
• Lots of romantic scenes involving the Jack/Kate/Sawyer triangle—which affects why Jack and Kate are part of the Oceanic 6, and not Sawyer.
• More on the Jack-Juliet relationship.
ON WHAT HAPPENS IN SEASONS 5 and 6:
• More on the Freighter Folks’ back stories (Frank, Daniel, Charlotte, Miles). The strike derailed plans for that to happen this season, so it’ll get pushed to next season.
• We’ll learn more about the four-toed statue—what it is and who built it.
• The show already knows exactly what the last scene of the series will be in 2010—although the final line of dialogue has some “wiggle room.”
Check back here Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday when you can hear more about these topics and more—in the producers’ very own words!
Namaste, everyone!

Oh man! How am I supposed to wait until next Thursday??
Thanks, Heather.
