Office Thursday: Who among us hasn’t fallen for someone we’ve seen in an office supply catalogue?

Tonight’s episode of The Office is the episode formerly known as “Parking”. While I think the change goes a little too far in the other direction, I do prefer the mundane titles that belie the crazy inside, i.e. “Diversity Day” or “Health Care”.
But that’s just me. Here’s the official summary.
Chair Model: Michael’s (Steve Carell) fascination with a woman modeling a chair in an office supply catalog makes him feel things he hasn’t felt in a while. With Michael distracted, Kevin (Brian Baumgartner) and Andy (Ed Helms) team up to win back Dunder-Mifflin’s stolen parking spaces, forcing them into a showdown with the bosses of the five businesses of the office park.
Before you move on, though, you should check out the deleted scenes from “Dinner Party” if you haven’t already. They saved the best for last. A tiny Dundie to whoever spots the awesome cameo.
The day after “Dinner Party” aired, a 45-second clip of Hunter’s song “One Night” showed up at Dunder Mifflin Infinity (which apparently still exists) as part of a game challenge. I was so tempted to use it as theme music for the Remote Access Office vodcast (shameless plug). But we already have good, non-creepy theme music.
By the way, did you catch the Must-See-TV promo NBC’s been running this week? Lots of questions, like where are Jim and Pam going? What does Tim Conway think is weird? Ross and Rachel were gay?
Looking ahead a couple weeks, you can check out pics from “Did I Stutter”, the oddly phrased, poorly punctuated title of the May 1 episode, here.
Not a bad showing by the fandom. Last week’s episode drew a whopping 9.2 million viewers, a 4.8 rating/12 share, the best showing since “Fun Run” kicked the interrupted season off way back in September, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
That’s a big jump from the disappointing returns for 30 Rock (5.7 million viewers), which had to go up against a Thursday edition of American Idol.
And from the Scoop Department, E!’s Kristin dos Santos had this to say about what’s to come in Dunderland. The ladies should like this scoop.
I can tell you that The Office shot scenes in a high school basketball gym last week. More Jim-ball? Dare we hope for shirts versus skins? (I think we all know who should not be wearing a shirt…) I can also tell you that security was tight, and everything took place behind a giant screen, so maybe they’re saving us spoiling ourselves about a giant Jam storyline?
Speaking of scoop, Michael Ausiello addressed the question of “big stuff” happening for Jim and Pam, as raised by Jenna Fischer herself recently. Jim and Pam are not splitting up, according to Ausiello. That’s hardly a newsflash. The fans would storm the castle the very next day if the writers went down that road.
That, according to the TVGuide.com scoopmeister, leaves engagement, elopement and sex. As I’ve mentioned before, these three options would leave me bored, annoyed and perplexed, respectively. Want to catch my interest? Fulfill this next bit of Ausiello scoop:
Neither Jim nor Pam is currently hiding a drug problem. But someone else is.
Gotta be Creed. Ausiello also rules out Lauren Graham starring in the Office spin-off, but says a top choice “looks a little something like a* e*”. I don’t even know how you pronounce that.
