So last week I gave you a heads up on a conference call that “Lost” producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse did with reporters about the return of “Lost” this Thursday.
But that was just the straight summary—and I know all you Lost-philes want to know every last word that the Darlton duo uttered.
So today, tomorrow and Wednesday, I’m going to post audio clips from that call—which covered everything from the Skate-Jate debate to a discussion of the very last scene of the series! (And no, sillies, they didn’t tell us what it’s going to be.)
First up, what’s in store for Thursday’s episode (in the show’s new post-”Grey’s Anatomy” time slot of 10 p.m.).
It’s titled “The Shape of Things to Come,” and as you’ve probably seen from the trailers, war on the island is imminent.
Locke’s camp is attacked, and Jack finds a body that washes ashore the island.
Darlton also promised that Thursday night will confirm the status of those shot in last month’s cliffhanger: Karl and Rousseau.
(No one seems to think that Karl’s coming back, but fans have been arguing over whether Rousseau’s truly dead.)
Anyway, according to Carlton, it looks like we’ll be seeing more of Rousseau whether she’s a goner or not. Click below to listen to more:
Smokey the monster makes another appearance on Thursday, too! The producers also promised that “a healthy dose” of Jacob will pop up before the end of the season.
And here’s what Damon had to say about another island mystery fans are obsessed with:
And there’s more! Damon and Carlton also addressed some of the rumors flying around out there—especially the fate of Claire. Neither confirmed or denied anything, but they did make some interesting comments.
Click through for more on whether Claire (played by Emilie de Ravin) is coming back next season …
Here’s what Carlton said about what’s happening with Claire:
The guys also wouldn’t answer whether any of the non-Oceanic 6 members will kick the bucket by the season’s end—noting that they made a mistake teasing Shannon’s death back in Season 2:
And lastly, one British reporter had the guts to ask why the show was spotted shooting scenes in London recently, when they’re based in Hawaii:
So maybe the rumor’s true that Charles Widmore (played by Alan Dale, who’s starring in a West End musical) has some crucial upcoming scenes. Darlton did note elsewhere in the interview that we’ll be seeing Dale “sooner rather than later.”
Hope you enjoyed the scoop, everyone! And check back here tomorrow for more insider info on the “Lost” love stories…
