To “Smallville’s” Lex: Get Thee To A Shrink

April
24

Due to circumstances beyond my control (I changed residences, the insouciant cable guy didn’t hook up everything properly, etc.), I couldn’t watch last week’s ep, called “Descent,” until last night.

And gee, Lex is one hurtin’ psycho. Killing his father via a 40-story window toss, doing away with the imaginary younger version of himself by throwing him in a fireplace, boo-hooing to Clark that Lionel loved Clark more…. Son, you are turning into the face of E-V-I-L! So now that Lex is totally hating on Clark, I shudder to think what he’ll impinge on Supe if he opens that secret box in Zurich.smallville.jpg

Meanwhile, Chloe must have a secret governmental clearance that’s pretty darn high if she was able to access just about every U.S.-owned satellite! But that chicken comes home to roost tonight. Read on.

This evening, on “Sleeper,” Clark continues his desperate search for Kara and Brainiac in an attempt to reverse Lana’s trance-like condition. Then, Clark asks Chloe to check for any large power serges in the area, so she breaks into several government computers, which sets off alarms. (So much for her having secret clearance! She’s just a run-of-the-mill hacker!) That results in Jimmy’s getting caught between the Department of Security—who theatens the shutterbug with time in the pokey unless he helps them arrest Chloe—and sicko Lex, who offers to instead help clear Chloe if Jimmy agrees to be in his debt. Now, THAT’S a situation that NO ONE would want to be in!
