With respect to: "If Claire isn’t truly alive, how can she fulfill Desmond’s vision of her and Aaron getting on a rescue helicopter?"

Lots of Desmond’s visions about Charlie dying did not come true, so I would guess that Desmond’s visions just indicate one possible version of the future. If the future doesn't happen, I wouldn't necessarily say that means Desmond’s visions were bunk.

Alternatively, dead Claire could probably get on the rescue helicopter with Aaron because: (1) dead people seem to have physical manifestations; and (2) dead Charlie didn't have any trouble getting off the island to visit Hurley.

Just my $0.02.

I think I caught that headache, Amy. Very interesting theory. We'll just have to wait to see what happens tonight.
and next week, and next year and the year after. With Cuse and Lindelof running the show, we may never really know.
