Newbs - I didn't have as much problem w/the mutiny. I think it took the insanity of Gaeta's shooting to sort of knock the sense back into everyone and recognize that even in the midst of a mutiny, Kara's the one who took charge and got him the medical aid he needed. And yesssssss, Anders should have just jammed his hand in there!!!

Erika - Anders told me he loves you.

Steph - I had the same thought. Anders is standing there thinking, "Say *what*!?!?!?! That is an interesting thought about the earlier incarnation of the Cylons being the humans, except that the Caprica prequel on tap kind of makes that unlikely. I have a whole theory about Kara and the Cylons and the hybrids that I'll expound on tomorrow when I post the blog carnival. Stay tuned...

This is definitely my favorite show (well, this one and Lost). Did you notice the look on Anders' face when they were talking about how the "final five" must know where Earth is? I laughed! He was obviously thinking, "Well, umm, actually we don't."

You know the oft-repeated phrase about how everything has happened before & will happen again? I often wonder if our humans on the show are actually earlier Cylon models themselves from a previous generation. The Cylons now, when they can't resurrect, are pretty much indistinguishable from humans (except for the whole clone part).

And where DID the skinjobs come from in the first place? This was never explained.

My god, how I love this show! One of my friends who is insanely hard to please entertainment wise just watched the original mini-series, and is very excited about watching the series. The acting is superb, the writing is intelligent on a level that astounds me sometimes, and I am totally dedicated to my Cylon boyfriend, Anders. :)

Great recap, Amy. This show makes me think and think and think.

It's true, Kara is totally in charge. I think Helo realizes it immediately. The whole scene felt a little to neat and tidy, though, at least on a conceptual level. Maybe that's why poor Gaeta had to get shot, to make the mutiny's resolution a little sloppier?

Great post. I know just what you mean about Anders and the computer... he should've done it!
