New show alert: In Plain Sight

I’ll be checking this out tonight, though it’s not my usual fare.
I had such a good experience last summer with Burn Notice that I figured I’d give this one a shot, too: In Plain Sight, on USA, just like my favorite burned spy, Michael Westen.
Here’s the official description of the pilot episode:
U.S. Marshal Mary Shannon (Mary McCormack) has a simple day ahead of her – go with her partner Marshall (Frederick Weller) to pick up a federally protected witness and get her situated – make sure her boyfriend, Raphael (Cristián de la Fuente), picks up her ne’er do well sister, Brandi (Nichole Hiltz), from the train station – and survive the “surprise” party her mother, Jinx (Lesley Ann Warren), has planned. However, when Mary learns that her witness, former hit-man Frankie Santoro’s (a.k.a. Frankie “Nuts”) beloved son was murdered, all the above plans are relegated to the back burner. And for that she’s almost grateful.
Mary now finds herself faced with two problems: Was Jr. killed by someone from Frankie Sr.’s past? And how do you tell a mafia hit man that his only son was murdered? In order to keep Frankie from flying off in a blind vengeful rage, Mary has twenty-four hours to find and apprehend Jr.’s killer.
There’s potential here. If the show’s writers infuse this show with the same whimsy plus action as Burn Notice, I could be giving a season pass to In Plain Sight. (Check out this review, it may well get it.) I believe there are 12 episodes; they’ll air at 10 p.m. Sundays, starting tonight (which will be a 1 hour, 16-minute episode).

Thanks for the recommendation, I was getting a bit antsy
I was totally addicted to Burn Notice so I decided to check this out last night and really liked it! USA has been making some really great shows lately and they did it again with In Plain Sight.
