It's (not an) Office Thursday, so what's Jenna Fischer been up to?

Only Jenna Fischer could begin a blog entry with “I threw up” and still make it a fun read.
She pulls of the feat at her MySpace blog from last week, where she talks about her movie, “The Promotion,” and a trip home to St. Louis. Her follow-up blog the next day is the better read, though. She talks about her appearance on Craig Ferguson’s show (watch it here), which I can never stay awake for even though it’s second only to Conan, which I also can never stay awake for.
She told Craig all about her mom’s affinity for adult-oriented confections and goofed on Hollywood’s propensity for fashion name-dropping. And she mentioned that Dwight’s/Andy’s X-Terra is still for sale at e-Bay (bidding’s since closed).
Fischer took part in an Emmy Actresses roundtable published in The Hollywood Reporter, alongside Calista Flockhart, Brooke Shields, Kyra Sedgwick, Minnie Driver and others. The interviewer doesn’t get to her until the end of the second page, so I’ll just pull her comments out here…
On a possible SAG strike…
The thing that really scares me is, I think there is no public goodwill left in this town to support another strike. But we would still be striking for the same very important things that the writers did. I just hope we aren’t pushed to where we have to make that choice.

On fame and success…
You become an actor because you have this little need to be loved or seen or whatever. And fame has given me the exact opposite of that. Connecting with people becomes very hard. On the other hand, fame has granted me amazing access to experiences I wouldn’t otherwise have had. I was able to take my mom to a White House reception.
On phony tabloid news…
I just had it happen to me, a total and complete lie. They said I was getting a divorce—which is true—but also that I’d gone out on a date with David Spade. I’ve never even met him! I’d just gotten separated and told my ex-in-laws at brunch that I wasn’t seeing anyone else. That planted a seed of doubt, and it hurt me a lot.
And you can hear Fischer chat with an Indianapolis radio station a few days ago. Scoop? The blooper reel on the Season 4 DVD set (due Sept. 2) will be 40 minutes long, she says.
