Steve makes funny where funny didn’t previously exist

I missed Steve Carell’s return to The Daily Show last night, but that’s OK.
Let’s face it. The Daily Show? Not always that funny. Funnier than Colbert, sure. But still, it’s inconsistent at best. Preachy, tone deaf and repetitive at its worst.
But none of that applies when Carell is on set. Carell is always funny, except when he’s starring in Evan Almighty. (I didn’t see Dan in Real Life, so don’t bother writing in to point that out too.)
Yup, Carell was back at TDS, and it’s OK that I missed it because of the wonders of online video. And now you don’t have to sit through 22 minutes of Ed Helms-less, sometimes-funny-sometimes-not-so-much faux news either. Enjoy.
