Video: E!’s Kristin catches up with a Weeds co-star and a bunch of 30 Rockers

That Kristin, she rocks with the TV scoop sometimes. Or even if she’s scoopless, it’s not for lack of access, as the video below reveals.
I know what you’re thinking, Kristin did all the work and all I did was embed the video here? Well, that’s not entirely true. I also prescreened it and can tell you with confidence that there is Tina Fey cuteness, a rare appearance by Katrina Bowden who plays Cerie on 30 Rock and some screen time for Weeds’s Justin Kirk, who plays Andy.
What’s more, I can tell you that if you skip to the 1:58 mark and stop watching at the 4:18 mark, you won’t have to sit through any boring Life or Brothers and Sisters stuff. (OK, now that I’ve alienated fans of those two perfectly fine shows, I should clarify that I’ve never even given either a try.)
Here’s what’s I glean from that…
- It’s not really news that there will be 13 episodes of Weeds this season, but Kirk does clarify that they just finished shooting episode number 9. Maybe it’s a result of the writers strike, but I’d have thought they’d have them all in the can before the premiere.
- Kristin confirms Liz’s adoption plan will be fodder for episodes next season.
- Judah Friedlander and Jane Krakowski make for as odd a pair as I can imagine.
- Bowden hopes to see her character’s fiance introduced soon, putting her at odds with 30 Rock’s entire male audience.
In related news, here’s the episode summary for tonight’s episode of Weeds, “Good Day for Blanca” (10 p.m. ET, Showtime), which I’ve already seen and enjoyed immensely. I’ll have the recap/breakdown posted as soon as it’s done airing.
After settling her family in Ren Mar, Nancy turns her attention back to business. Later, Guillermo gives her a much-needed crash course in “running” across the border. Meanwhile, Celia gets further acquainted with life in prison. Lenny leaves Silas and Shane to care for Bubbie while he goes to the track.
