If there are bigger fans around the Office fandom than the one who goes by the handle lemoñadé, I haven’t come across them.

Jim Halpert and lemoñadé
I consider myself a pretty die-hard Dunder Mifflin obsessive myself, but even I’ll get schooled from time to time by fellow fans with quicker recall of key lines or scenes or the latest fan news long before it shows up at OfficeTally. But I’d put lemoñadé up there with the best of them and ahead of most when it comes to knowing her Office stuff.
Like a lot of fans of this little show, though, she isn’t braggy about it. She’s just sincerely passionate. That’s why a whole bunch of us couldn’t help but root hard for her when she began detailing at The Watercooler forums at NorthernAttack her exploits on the Tucson and Phoenix sets of Farlanders, where she spent several days last month as a featured extra.

A surreptitious shot on set
Farlanders is John Krasinski’s upcoming movie, directed by Sam Mendes and due out next year. And if there’s anything lemoñadé is more obsessive about than The Office it’s John Krasinski.
You’ll have to read the whole post, which is lengthy, detailed and totally worth it. But here are a few snippets, starting with her first scene…
…They finally called me down to be in the scene. I played a bartender and was a few feet from John and Maya (co-star Maya Rudolph). During breaks, they would come sit on the bar stools right in front of me. They were both extremely nice and were joking around. I can’t remember what I said, but I made John laugh and that more than made my day. We filmed quite a few shots and then they wrapped filming in Tucson…

And then there was her brush with greatness…
…As I was doing that, I could see someone walking by. I looked up and then went back to what I was doing. Then, my brain said, “look up idiot, it’s John!†I did a double take and looked back up and sure enough, it was him. He smiled at me and said “Hey†and I replied and he put his hand on my shoulder as he walked by! I swear, I could not wipe the stupid grin off my face that whole day…
And it keeps getting better…
…I must say, that the highlight of my week was getting to talk to John. It was quite an adrenaline rush! I saw him alone during one of the breaks and I went over and talked to him for a good 15 min about Phoenix, basketball, and just random stuff. I told him I was a big fan of the show and left it at that. I didn’t want to freak him out with how many times I’ve seen each episode. He kept thanking me for doing this (what??) and we just chatted for awhile before they started filming again…
The part that follows after that is the best part of all the parts, but you’ll have to head over to OfficeTally and check it out yourself. And if you want to read the really juicy parts she left out, you’ll have to log on to NorthernAttack and spend some quality time at The Watercooler.

Really nice tribute, Brian. You’re right. Nobody deserved that experience more than our Lemon.
