Home Run Derby's math stinks, but makes for great TV

Pay no attention to the official winner of last night’s Home Run Derby at Yankee Stadium; the only name you need to remember is Josh Hamilton.
The Texas Ranger crushed 28 homers in the first round of last night’s Home Run Derby at Yankee Stadium—20 more than any other player in that frame—but lost the event because the Minnesota Twins’ Justin Morneau hit more in the third and final round. (Totals from the first two rounds don’t carry over. Pffft. What a joke.)
Check out this must-watch MLB.com highlight reel, and try not to get as frustrated as I was with the ESPN broadcasters’ initial insistence on dull storytelling instead of chronicling the greatness unfolding in front of them.
