Tori Spelling says ‘no’ to new ‘90210′

I was really looking forward to someone chanting “Donna Martin graduates” on the CW’s new version of “90210,” which premieres Sept. 2
But alas, Tori Spelling will not be joining her old show’s alumni—Jennie Garth and Shannen Doherty—in the spin-off.
She was all set to reprise her role of Donna, but Spelling decided to bolt from that infamous ZIP code once she heard that Garth and Doherty would be getting paid more than TWICE as much.
Sources have confirmed to E! that Spelling pulled out of the multi-episode deal when the CW refused to boost her salary to meet that of the other actresses, who are each getting a reported $40-50k per episode. Tori had been offered less than $20,000 per installment.
It just won’t be the same seeing Brenda and Kelly without their old sidekick.
Then again, I guess the show can now avoid that awkward question of “Where’s David?” since Brian Austin Green is currently kicking “Terminator” butt over on FOX.
Ahh, I remember Donna and David’s wedding like it was yesterday:
I miss Luke Perry’s sideburns, don’t you?
But before I dive too much into nostalgia for the old gang, here’s a cast photo of the newbies—and they might JUST be prettier than their predecessors.
