Aren’t a “Pushing Daisies” fan yet?
Would some free pie convince you?
Yes, in the hope that free food will drive more eyeballs to the quirkfest that is “Pushing Daisies,” ABC is driving Ned’s Pie Hole around the country in the days leading up to the show’s Oct. 1 premiere.
Waitresses on daisy bicycles will be driving around major U.S. cities in the coming weeks, directing folks to the temporary restaurant where they can sample pie, scoop up free gifts and check out clips from the show. Here’s where the “Touch of Wonder” tour will show up next:
Sept. 10: Los Angeles, CA, Santa Monica Third Street Promenade
Sept. 12: Las Vegas, NV, FashionShow Mall
Sept. 14: Phoenix, AZ, Westgate Complex
Sept. 17: Denver, CO, Larimer Square
Sept. 20: Dallas, TX, Addison Oktober Fest
Sept. 24: Chicago, IL, Lincoln Park
Sept. 26: Philadelphia, PA, The Shops at Liberty Place
Sept. 29: New York, NY, Times Square
And for those who just can’t wait for Season 2 to start? Click through for a few sneak peek photos and the just-released synopsis of the season premiere…and PSST, is anyone thinking this bee-based company sounds an awful lot like Burt’s Bees?
Here’s what our wacky gang of death-defying detectives will be up to when the new season of “Pushing Daisies” kicks off:
Chuck goes undercover as a ‘Bee Girl’ at a honey-based cosmetics company after their new spokesmodel (guest star Autumn Reeser) is stung to death. She soon discovers that office politics are killer (literally) between the founder (guest star Missi Pyle as Betty Bee) and the new owner (guest star French Stewart as Woolsey Nicholls). Meanwhile, Ned can’t stand her growing independence, or the fact that she wants to move out of his apartment. In other developments, Lily spirits Olive off to a nunnery so she won’t spill Lily’s deep, dark secret.
And let’s take a look at a few key scenes from that episode (just click the photo to enlarge). Loving those creepy honeycombs!
