The Season 3 premiere airs on NBC one week from tonight, but you can catch it online any second new.
It’s not up yet (I just checked) but Hulu and NBC.com are carrying the premiere a week ahead of schedule. UPDATE: Fancast.com has it now! UPDATE UPDATE: It’s up, and you can view it by scrolling to the bottom of this post! You can also get a free download of the premiere on Monday from iTunes and TV Guide.

Apparently, NBC is trying to make a way-too-late attempt to take advantage of the Tina Fey-Sarah Palin buzz, which already has mostly dissipated. But it’s not gone yet. Palin’s limited stint on SNL last week brought the show its best ratings in 14 years.
The line of the night: Lorne Michaels explaining to Palin that a 30 Rock sketch was nixed because nobody knows that show. Don’t get mad at him. Blame the people who are tuning in elsewhere.
It was ridiculous that Fey and Palin didn’t share the stage at all.
And it makes me wonder if Fey couldn’t take the heat. Doesn’t seem likely, but how else to explain why she would be able to dish out her spot-on satirical take on the GOP Veep candidate the last several weeks but never once be in the position to take any jabs in return.
Oddly enough, there seems to be a consensus among 30 Rock’s stars that Palin is “way hotter” than Fey. Alec Baldwin said it in the context of his appearance with Palin on SNL, though it’s impossible to say in what context Baldwin’s sentiments can ever be taken at face value — a HuffPo column, a comedy sketch, his daughter’s voicemail…?
“I’ll tell you, that lady is five times better-looking than I am,” Fey tells TV Guide. “She’s 44? She’s got none of that droopy s—-. She’s keeping it tight!”
It’s not my place to disagree. But you can vote here.
Meanwhile, the Gossip Girls are out, and Steve Buscemi is in this season. Blake Lively and Leighton Meester of the CW fame won’t appear in a future episode as previously planned. (I’m not even entirely sure who they are.) But Buscemi, who cameo’d last season, will take a turn directing this season.
His appearance was underwhelming, I thought, but I love the guy so this should be good.
Speaking of good, frequent 30 Rock guest star Will Arnett has cut a deal with Fox for his own series. I wonder if it’ll run opposite his wife’s new show.
In less interesting news, Jennifer Aniston is eyeing a return to 30 Rock. No, you haven’t seen her there before, but she has already shot her debut for later this season and could be down for another.

fyi – the season premiere of “30 Rock” (“Do-over”) is already up a week early on Fancast (and it’s great – check out Alec Baldwin’s line about Colin Firth at the beginning!)
