The poll to the right of this page is getting out of hand. Chuck leads all shows listed, including a few added by readers, by epic proportions.
Asked what bubble show they’d most like to see renewed, 85 percent of readers—402 votes total—so far have said Chuck. In second is Life with 14 votes.
I know these polls aren’t scientific and are subject to cheating, but it was presented in unbiased fashion, with a wide range of shows in alphabetical order. Plus we have built-in safeguards that discourage cheating. Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, which ran away with E! Online’s Save Our Show, is barely a blip on the radar here. And I loved that show.
I’ve been seeing the pro-Chuck comments roll in here for a long time. So I went back just a month and reprinted them here verbatim, just to show what Remote Access readers think of the best show on NBC right now (and the best one on TV, as far as I’m concerned).

“One of the best lines of that episode was actually a non-line. After Neo Chuck (you did get “The Matrix” reference, right?) was beating down the bad guys at the end, Casey’s line might’ve been better than “Chuck me.” All he could say was, “Uh.” In actuality, I saw the kung fu fightin’ Chuck scene coming after the bad guys swarmed into the intersect room and Chuck flashed again. But it was still fun to watch. Although I loved this episode, I actually think last week’s episode was a better one to end on if the show is not renewed, because it really did wrap things up. Part of me thinks “Chuck” has a better shot of returning the longer NBC waits to announce a decision because of the pre-decision groundswell and proactive campaigns (i.e. the sandwich chain dealie in which even cynical me participated). “I’d just like to add my views of Chuck – The Series: I started watching Chuck at the beginning and got bored after about 2-3 episodes (yes, it pains me to admit it): I felt it was a throwback to the 80’s on the surface. Now, a good friend was totally hooked after episode one and when Season 1 finished, promptly ordered the DVD boxset. He raved and raved and raved about it until I said I’d try again. So, picking up where I left off..I watched the boxset of it. I got hooked much quicker than expected…and noticed that scratching under the surface of the old-school feel was a superb feel-good series given the chance. I do have to admit I was getting frustrated by the ‘Chuck wants to be just friends with Sarah/Sarah wants to be just friends with Chuck’ plotlines that kept re-surfacing at the end of some of the mid-season episodes. However, just as I was thinking that…things get better with Awesome being in on the secret, Chuck ‘n’ Sarah soooo close to getting it on and Morgan finally showing he had man parts! Then came the last 2 episodes: I don’t remember ANY series similar to Chuck ever breaking the rules as much as these 2 did. The Terminator fans just only found out about this poll. You can bet we’re going for a comeback since we outnumber the Chuck fanbase. We obliterated them in all polls we encountered and we’ll get them here too. Simply because Terminator is superior in all areas compared to Chuck.
Chuck fans are cheating by using bots which are software programs that vote for them every couple of seconds. Disabling multiple voting on your poll doesn’t stop bots. They did the same thing on numerous polls already, even though they lost every fair poll lke the E! online one. They are cheaters and I hope they don’t ever get renewed, I hope Dollhouse does.
Chuck fans are cheaters and hypocrites. They got annihilated in the E!Online poll as well as other polls and accused Terminator fans of cheating when THEY are the ones that are using vote bots. However, we outnumber the Chuck fans. We are legion. We do not forgive. We do not forget. Expect us.
Obviously this poll was put up on a Chuck fan site and no one else found it. Terminator:SCC wins every poll online as we have a very big and very passionate fan base that will stop at nothing to get our show renewed.

This is a general TV blog, and I’m a huge fan of both shows. Look back and you’ll see I’ve lobbied for renewing both.
Chuck’s vote total in the poll, while impressive, amounts to about 20 votes a day. So that blows the bot theory out of the water, unless the cheaters are using really slow, poorly fed bots to do their bidding.
Terminator’s vote total today has me wondering about technological intervention, though.
I love Terminator. I watched it from the start and was amazed by the most recent run of episodes. That said, it was extremely flawed. The writers never seemed to know what to do with the characters or what kind of story they wanted to tell. It took David Silver to inject new life into it. Chuck, meanwhile, never had such issues.
In the end, the networks will do what they want. Besides, it’s ridiculous to compare such different shows, neither of which had ratings worth writing home about.
I really love watiching “Chuck.” Another channel took off Kyle XY, now Chuck. What is the matter here! Even though I am 62 and a female, I really, really enjoyed watching Chuck. The lzst show was great and I was looking forard to the next season. I don’t know about the E!online poll, and I only came upon this site by accident. Any place I can add any comments about getting Chuck back on the air, I am glad to go. It is good to see that many others love the show also. Dancing with the Stars, and the Biggest Loser are the only shows left. I still watch American Idol once in awhile, but none of these compare to Chuck. This show has had some exciting episodes, and it doesn’t have extremely vulgar scenes or cussing. It has come a little close, but still has exciting scenes of action and laughs. After a hard day of working, it was always worth waiting for. Makes me somewhat sad.

Err, this poll has only just been posted on one of our (many) fan sites. A site that has over 10,000 members.
TSCC is gonna win this, now that the fans are finding the poll. I’m glad there can’t be multiple voting, now we’ll really see who has the bigger, more dedicated fan base. I’m not saying that the multiple voting was cheating, because Chuck fans were able to do the same and still didn’t win (and yes, I’m 100% sure that Chuck fans voted multiple times on the EOnline poll.) Since multiple voting was possible, we all had to, or else we’d lose just cuz we didn’t. So in that way, I’m glad this one only allows one vote.

Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles is the most well-written, well-acted program on tv. Warner Brothers knows that; FOX needs to realize that, too!
If Chuck fans don’t use vote bots then explain how on one poll where Terminator was leading with 40% of about 10,000, did Chuck start winning at 50% of roughly 30,000 votes in under half an hour?

We just came here from the Terminator wiki that has more than 10 000 REGISTERED members and hundreds of thousands of regular visitors. We will now do this poll justice.
Terminator barely a blip? Not in the poll I just voted on. Still behind Chuck, but solidly in second place and who knows if this’ll remain like that. This poll also seems like it was just started today, so making any claims about it already makes no sense.
In the end though, it doesn’t matter which wins, TSCC or Chuck. On some polls it’s the first, on some the latter – making it very clear both are loved very much by the internet community. And I don’t have a problem with it, I like both shows a lot and want both of them to get renewed.

The poll was up since April 17th and no show except Chuck got any votes?? Wow, seems your site is very little known then. And only Chuck fans found it (and as of today TSCC fans).
I can’t help it if my bots are poorly fed. The beet crop didn’t come in this year. I blame the evil Terminator company. They probably built some kind of anti-bot food weather machine.

Rena D – You need to understand that by watching rubbish like DWTS and BL you are hurting the chances of your beloved Chuck. Because of the success of reality garbage the networks, such as NBC, see that they can make more money by not offering quality scripted television. When you don’t have to pay actors and writers and deal with unions you can make more money while spending less. You can also give 5 hours per week to douches like Jay Leno. Jay Leno is the direct competition to your beloved Chuck. I have heard that Chuck has been renewed but if not for the popularity of reality programming, leading to NBC giving Leno 5 hours Chuck would have never been in trouble. The 2 times I watched Chuck I was bored stiff but it is still much better than the alternative, reality programming and Leno in prime-time (or Leno anywhere for that matter). So, fight for Chuck and stop watching reality crap or you will help with the wholesale destruction of quality scripted television. Oh yeah, give Sarah Connor a try. It is the best show on television, with the, by far, best cast. So keep watching Chuck, be sure to check out TSCC, and stop watching reality programming.

Seriously? If this were posted on a fan site for any of the shows, you would get a sudden influx of voters for that show. The rise in votes for Sarah Connor is probably because this URL just showed up on a fan site.
It’s not a matter of fans cheating. It only takes one person with some html skills and a web browser to control a vote that doesn’t have some kind of security (like a captcha image or IP logging).
Woa. Terminator has ganied almost 300 votes in a few minutes. Well, I hope it reaches the first place, I love Terminator, and I don’t know the other series.
Seems this site is very biased towards Chuck, so I’m not surprised that it took this long for fans of any other show to find this poll.
I checked the main page, and almost every blog entry is about Chuck. Why would any other fans come to the site?
I, too, am a fan of Chuck, but I think TSCC deserves a third season more than Chuck. I hope both get renewed, though, as both are far superior to most of the crap on network TV.

I love how Chuck fans accuse Terminator fans of cheating. When will they learn that the show actually has a large fanbase that is bigger than theirs!!
No wonder Chuck was winning….this poll is posted on a “Save Chuck” site and no other shows were aware of this.
I think it’s a great idea to post this on the forums of Dollhouse and the other shows, to give them a chance to show their power.

I think somebody from the Terminator wiki has posted this on the Dollhouse wiki now. Apart from us and the Chuck fans, they are the only ones who actually seem to care enough about these things.
TSCC is now winning, and in my opinion, there is no way that Chuck can win now. They’ve had 2 weeks to vote in this poll. In a matter of 2 hours, we have dominated them. There are no bots, no “cheating”, these are all legit votes—one from each person. We just have more people, that’s it.
Hi Brian. I’m the person who found this site and informed the TSCC fans over at terminatorwiki.fox.com. All I did was start a thread asking everyone to vote for TSCC, messaged my friends to do the same, and vote once. That’s it. You’ll also notice I asked the TSCC fans over there to tell the Dollhouse, Life, Privileged, any group of fans about the poll to they would have a chance to vote too. The only reason I found out about it was through a Google News search.
Had the TSCC fans known about it earlier you would have seen many more votes before today. We get organized very quickly, as you can tell. Terminatorwiki registered about 2,000 people in the last 3 weeks, just to give you an idea. We’re a very big International fanbase.
I commented first on this page warning the Chuck fans we would overtake them. It only took 2 hours. Our fanbase is huge and this is still just the tip of the iceberg.
It’s also a huge indication of how Nielsen doesn’t measure correctly and that also applies to the Chuck fans. Both our shows are mostly being watched by young people who aren’t counted in the Nielsen system. Terminator is easily winning every poll it’s in and that has to ba an indication of something.

I’m a Terminator fan and I had a lot of respect for Chuck and its fans. It wasn’t until Chuck fans began to trash talk Terminator fans and accuse them of ridiculous things, like cheating.

I actually have never watched dollhouse. and i don’t find summer to be OMG HAWT! i find that in the role she has to play, she is dead on. pls don’t think that us TSCC nerds are only voting because we get all hot and heavy on 1 character. The entire show is rich with everything you want in a series!

As a big T nerd, I have joined other fans in voting to save T: The Sarah Connor Chronicles here.
No hard feelings to Chuck fans or other fans voting across the ‘net in many of these polls. In fact, fans getting together to save any show that is not a reality show is worth the competition. However, it is simple for us Terminator fans: resist cancellation.
We were able to get a few episodes ordered for a second season, then a full second season, and now we are fighting for a third season.
The future is not set and our (current) Judgment Day is the 18th of May. Hopefully, we are successful in our efforts to prevent what we have been told is inevitable by so many media outlets. Winning the E! Online poll sent a message to all the nay-sayers (so then causing a few positive articles that the show could be/should be renewed despite previous ‘practically canceled’ articles that were all over the net).

I loved Firefly/Serenity and i am truly thankful to Joss Whedon for giving Summer a chance to shine. She is a great actress who i admire a lot.
I enjoy Doll House and i do hope that it gets a second season as i believe it has the potential to be a good show. So far it hasn’t really impressed me all that much but I’m sure it’ll get better. But if it comes down to a choice between the two then I hope its TSCc that gets renewed as its by far the better show IMO.
I have to admit the character Cameron is one of the main attractions to the show for me but thats not the only reason i watch.
I also want to admit Cameron is the first reason for me to watch the show but then again, she is the fan’s favorite so no surprise there. But everything else anout the show is good too!
I like Whedon for bringing her into the acting world but basically it’s her own talent which brought her here. And let’s face it, Dollhouse aint no Firefly.
I think this blog poll was bias from the start. You are in New York somewhere (I’ve never been). I’m in California. I’ve jsut found out about this poll and this website. After I vote for TSCC I’ll probably never hear of it again.
The only way any of these polls actually count is if they were on the same network and competing for the same pool of budgeted dollars.
Chuch and TSCC are not, but I assure you TSCC has a very large, active and international fan base.
If you really wanted to be “fair,” you’d run your poll by first starting by sending out an announncement to all the official show websites that you are going to include. You’ll see how fast and how much people like thier shows then!
Yes, I am a bit offended by the inciuation that TSCC is less than Chuck.
TSCC is one of the best written shows on all of TV, and easily has the most interesting sci fi character on TV since Mr. Spock. Too bad NBC didn’t put Chuck on Fridays at 8 p.m. so we could see what we know now: that TSCC was carrying a night when no one wants to air. The shows on now at Fox are tanking during that time.
And now that TSCC has a new horizon dreamed up by show runner Josh Friedman, no one knows WHAT is going to happen but everyone is THRILLED by it – whether they love it or hate it. No other show can say ANY of this.
Before you boast anymore on Chuck as a comparison, maybe you ought to check the pedigree of what you’re going up against.
And please, don’t start talking nay side show Bob crap, or, “I’ll Be Back.” And, if that happens, you KNOW what that means! And for all you geeks hooked on drooling over babes on Chuck: we SHOOT better looking women on TSCC just for kicks and giggles…

My best friend is a “Chuck” fan. I had him watch a couple of episodes during season two and bought him a DVD of T:TSCC season one. No further coercion was required to get him hooked on the best scifi show of the past decade. One mitigating circumstance – He was also a huge fan of Xena: warrior princess. Gosh, maybe my friend has a thing for hot chicks wearing leather and holding weapons…. hmmm…. Anyway, we both voted for Sarah.

And to Anque: As far as I know, Chuck fans have been hating the most, and were the first to hate. Most TSCC fans want both to be renewed, even if they don’t like or watch Chuck. We all know what it’s like to have shows that we love be on the bubble.
The only “hating” you see, I think, is from people simply commenting that they’ve watched Chuck and don’t like it. But from Chuck fans, it seems like everyone is just saying that TSCC sucks without having watched it, or only watched one or two episodes. Jealousy much? Sore losers?
Take my sister. HUGE Chuck fan. She hated TSCC without ever watching it. I finally got her to watch some of the finale, and she never gave it a chance. Was negative the whole time. Why can’t both shows be renewed? Why can’t Chuck fans just be nice and take their “losses” with grace? Coming in second place, especially to such a die-hard fan base is no easy feat.

Watch TSCC, I don’t care. But I do care about Chuck. Fantastic show. I am so sick of most shows that demonstrate an iota of quirkiness and cleverness getting whacked.

I would also like to note that the first person to post pointing fingers about cheating on this page was a TSCC person. All that aside, there are also plenty of reasonable TSCC supporters who posted here as well.
My point here is really: Don’t paint all people with the same brush because you bumped up against a few haters on one side or the other.
This poll and this blog are not part of some greater ‘Chuck-fan-conspiracy’ to hate on TSCC. The blog belongs to an industry professional who reviews quite a few different television shows as part of his living (it is NOT mostly Chuck – if anything I’d say he was a decidedly 30 Rock & Office-biased writer) and it just so happens that his regular readership (of whom I am one) happens to contain a lot of Chuck supporters. In point of fact, I think he’s been covering TSCC from day one as well, although I never read any of those blogs as I don’t watch the show. In any case, the blog and subsequently, the poll, are unrelated to whatever or whomever ‘started’ these interweb Chuck/TSCC wars you all seem to be referring to.
Me and my friends love Chuck, and watch it every times its on! save Chuck! We need another season!!

Granted, it’s not much, but much worse has been said on other sites, and I think TSCC fans are sick of it. Every time we start winning something, everyone accuses us of cheating. The fact of the matter is, we just have more people.
When it comes down to it, I just wish that we could all stop putting each other down. It just sucks.

Speaking of which, has anyone tried to watch that newish show with Nathon Fillion in it? Castle or something? Ever since Dr. Horrible I’ve been looking forward to seeing him in something else (I have not seen Firefly) but I watched a couple of episodes of this new show and I was not impressed. He’s great, but the lady who stars opposite him just doesn’t seem right for that part at all. That have no chemistry. I was very sad.

Clearly you mean well, but i’m afraid to say you’re dead wrong. If you visit the E! Online poll, you can see that the comments section was inundated with offensive, baseless allegations by Chuck fans against TSCC fans. In fact, the VERY FIRST comment was a long tirade by a Chuck fan against all TSCC fans—it was removed later by the blog author, but you can still see everyone’s responses to it. I don’t want to be rude, but the Chuck fans undoubtedly started this—that’s the reason for all the angry comments by the TSCC guys. Of course, i’m not condoning the comments (they were wrong on our part), but I just wanted to clarify that these comments were not unprovoked.

Also, as regards the allegations against this blog, can you really blame us?? The author tells no one about his poll (except Chuck fans presumably)—no one in any of the TSCC forums had even heard of this poll, until this article. This article where the guy has the nerve to say the poll is one-sided (if no one else has heard about it, of course it’ll be one-sided !!), then prominently display gushing comments by Chuck fans only and then add that he thinks Chuck is the best show on TV—short of tattooing “I HEART CHUCK!” on his forehead, the author’s done everything else. Is it really that difficult to understand why we think this blog is biased in favour of Chuck ?!!
Anyway, enough of that. As Talli rightly said, we should focus on supporting our show, rather than hating on other shows and their fans.
For the record, I am a huge Terminator and Chuck fan, and devoutly hope that both these wonderful shows get renewed for many more seasons!!
