Examples? I'm thinking of their conversation in the kitchen over guacamole when Ellie's clearly hurt that Chuck isn't opening up to her about his personal life. Yeah, it's a perfectly normal thing for close siblings to deal with. Still, I've mentioned it to friends who picked up on the same thing. I'm sure it says more about me than the writing. I don't have that kind of relationship with any of my many siblings. I stopped noticing it about halfway through the first season, and I always figured the writers were trying to establish how close Ellie and Chuck are.
