A pre-Comic-Con roundup of ‘Lost’ news!
Lost-philes are anxiously awaiting July 25.
That’s the day “Lost” producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse make their annual appearance at San Diego’s Comic-Con, where they’ve previously spilled tidbits about upcoming episodes. And this year’s hoopla should be more cukoo than ever, given that it’s the show’s final season and all.
Anyway, despite Darlton’s so-called, self-imposed “radio silence,” lots of speculation has been rampant in the wake of Season 5’s bomb-dropping finale. So here’s a roundup of some of the juiciest island rumors:
• Dead castaways will be revived! In this Digital Spy interview, Darlton wouldn’t confirm whether Jughead-bashing Juliet is dead or reveal their plan to end the series. But they sure do seem to confirm the scuttlebutt that departed cast members (Shannon? Charlie?) will be making appearances. As previously reported, Emilie de Ravin will be back as Claire. But is she dead or not?
• Ian Somerhalder is open to returning as Boone. TV Guide caught up with Ian, who didn’t knock down rumors that he might return to the island, even though he’s starring in the new CW drama, “The Vampire Diaries.”
• Mr. Eko still loves “Lost.” Also in TV Guide, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje says that he’d be open to reprising the role of Eko, even though he asked producers to release him from the show after just one season. (At the time, both of his parents had just died.)
• Write the show’s theme song! Okay, so your tune won’t open the new season when the series returns early next year. But your clever little ditty could be featured at the aforementioned Comic-Con! You’ve got until Thursday, July 16, to hand in submissions. Go here for more details.
