‘The Philanthropist’ revisited

Maybe it’s just the sweaty charm of star James Purefoy, but NBC’s “The Philanthropist” is beginning to grow on me. (Has any other actor ever glistened so beautifully?)
Last week’s foray into a Parisian prostitution ring was a solid outing and convinced me — as it has other bloggers – that Purefoy might’ve made a good James Bond.
Tonight’s episode (10 p.m., Channel 4 locally) finds Purefoy’s Teddy Rist back in Nigeria and back in hot water — perhaps another chance to glisten.
