Two huge news stories from the land of Jack Bauer this week:
• Kim Bauer will appear in Season 7 and be toting a rugrat along with her.
• Production’s shutting down for rewrites.
Let’s tackle the latter first, shall we?
EW.com today reported that once Episode 18 finishes filming Sept. 15, production’s shutting down until Oct. 9 “while [...]

The rumors were wrong.
The SciFi Channel has said rumors to the contrary, that BSG wouldn’t be back until April with the final episodes of Season 4, were “inaccurate.”
The reports are erroneous, the channel confirmed to SCI FI Wire. “It is still slated to return January 2009,” a spokesman for the channel said.
So Say We All.

They’re wrapped, in the can, all other euphemisms for “We’ve finished filming and you can air these episodes at any time!!!!”
Yet the Sci Fi network has decided to torture both the cast of BSG and its fans by first dividing its fourth and final season in half and then by not even scheduling the second [...]

OK, it’s not exactly that way, but I’m pretty far behind on my 24 blogging, so I thought I’d catch you all up on everything that’s new, old and in between.
First off, over the Labor Day weekend, Kiefer took his Alsatian (related to German shepherds) to a beach in Malibu, and all the tabs informed [...]

I think I finally figured out what is wrong with Burn Notice this season.
Did the writers learn nothing from Gabrielle Anwar’s disastrous attempt at an Irish accent in the pilot?
Don’t do accents.
Look, I love Jeffrey Donovan. Seriously.
I mean:
But every time this guy tries to do an accent this season, I’m completely taken out of the [...]

Well, of course Stephanie Dube agreed with me, because she has impeccable taste in television, but I was nonetheless glad to see this post the other day on BlogCritics.
Last week’s Burn Notice was good. Interesting, the overarching plot moved ahead a teensy bit, the humor was there … blah, blah, blah.
But I couldn’t put my [...]

The good folks at Sci Fi have come through again and are sharing another preview clip from the Eureka episode that airs tomorrow. It’s an excellent one, not least of all because this week’s guest star is ALAN RUCK!
Yes, he of Ferris Bueller/Spin City fame. Most excellent. And the clip has some excellent back-and-forth between [...]

While watching Burn Notice last night, I tried to figure out why I’d been having a hard time blogging on it lately.
I still enjoy it; the mystery of Michael’s burn has been taken up a notch with Carla’s addition to the cast; Fiona’s hesitance in screaming for the police because she didn’t mind Sam getting [...]

Sorry I’m a bit late, but the August edition of the Blackjack Fairgrounds Jericho blog carnival has posted.
The theme this month is “Happenins in the Jericho Fandom.”
So mosey on over and check it out.
And remember: No guns, thieves will be strung up, and be sure to leave before nightfall!

Fan-frakkin’-tastic news: It has been confirmed on the L.A. Times Show Tracker blog that there will indeed be at least one BSG telemovie after the series comes to its end. And it’s Cylon-centric!
Directed by Edward James “Adm. Adama” Olmos and written by Jane Espenson (a sometime BSG writer and one of the brains behind Buffy), [...]

One of my favorite summer series, Eureka (on SciFi) made its return last week with “Bad to the Drone.”
A usual in Eureka, a fantastical invention goes kablooey and Sheriff Carter has to undo all the havoc wreaked in its wake.
The twist this time is that after last season’s complete breach of security by Henry, the [...]

ComicCon has been a veritable treasure trove of information about our favorite shows, not least of all 24.
How I wish I were there….
But perhaps the most important issue that’s been resolved is the fact that Jack Bauer does, indeed, go to the bathroom.
On Digital Spy, I read this article in which Kiefer Sutherland explained why [...]

Just a quick note of apology.
Last night got away from me and I didn’t get to watch Burn Notice. I will catch up with it sometime over the weekend, as I’m sure you are totally awaiting my scintillating review.
That is all, go about your business, thank you and have a nice day.

Hot off the e-mail, I hear of more do-gooding (is that a word?) by Jericho fans.
This time, they’re helping an Army sergeant who’s trying to raise awareness of autism. Sgt. Patrick Neal’s son, Brendan, was diagnosed as autistic at a young age, and now the Neal family is trying to raise awareness and help other [...]

The eighth week of the summer season kicks off today, and it’s slim pickin’s.
Here’s our advance looks at the first and second and third and fourth and fifth and sixth and seventh weeks.
At first, I couldn’t believe I’d forgotten to post my weekly look at the new summer season shows. Then I looked at what [...]

The voice of the trailer’s narrator seems wrong, though I don’t know why, but it looks pretty good. Might 24 in Africa actually be pretty damn good?
You watch. You decide. Then tell me what you think.
Check it out here. Or here. Or here. OK, that last one was a joke. But it was as exciting [...]

Last night provided some classic Burn Notice moments, not least of all the counselor who looked remarkably like Michael’s mom. (C’mon, you laughed out loud when they first showed her, didn’t you?)
As a matter of fact, let’s start there, with Michael reallyreallyreallyreallyreally not looking forward to, basically, couples counseling with his mother.
They both got more [...]

Kiefer “Jack Bauer” Sutherland and 24 showrunners Howard Gordon and Jon Cassar were trotted out before the press this week to talk about the upcoming season and the November prequel movie, and, it appears, had quite a bit to say.
Don’t know where to turn? I’ve got your back. I read a zillion articles and I [...]

The latest rumor regarding 24:
Julia Roberts may guest-star sometime in Season 7, says starmagazine.com.
Those of you who are either my age or pop-culture aficionados will remember the scandal — SHOCKING! — when Julia left poor Kiefer at the altar back in 1991 and took up with his friend, Jason Patric (he of the missing “k”).
What [...]
