Down to Top 12 on 'Dance'

July
3

Okay, I'll admit it—it's the holiday weekend and I'm feeling lazy.

So I'll be brief: Kourtni and Matt were the ones sent packing tonight.

Not shocking, right? Kourtni herself didn't even seem surprised to go, even if she did show more oomph than ever in her solo.

Let's face it: This couple's been on thin ice for weeks [...]

It's double the fun when 'Dance' couples perform twice!

July
3

At the risk of sounding as loopy as Mary Murphy, someone needs to turn up the air conditioning on that "Dance" stage because last night's show was hot, hot, HOT!!!

Will and Twitch, shirtless! (Man, who knew these two were so ripped?!?)

Kherington stomping around in thigh-high boots!

Heck, Twitchington rolling around on a bed covered in [...]

'Dance' says bye-bye to one more guy, one girl

June
27

Well, it went down exactly as we thought it would, didn't it, America?

Chelsea Traille is the gal going home, and Chris Jarosz is saying see ya, too.

After six solos that, quite frankly, reeked of desperation—the judges must have scared the bejeezus into them last week about the seriousness of "dancing for your life"—the judges quickly [...]

'Deadwood' stars joins 'Damages'

June
26

The man formerly known as Seth Bullock on "Deadwood"—and Sam's gazillionaire almost-boyfriend on "Samantha Who?" last season—has joined the cast of "Damages."

Timothy Olyphant joined Glenn Close and the rest of the cast when the legal thriller kicked off production of its second [...]

'Dance' finalists tighten the pack

June
26

Well, Mary Murphy, can you predict who'll get kicked off the show now?

Our favorite overexcited, bedazzled judge—who, as guest judge Adam Shankman put it, looked like a "pretty disco ball"—told us at the top of last night's show that this season's dancers were all so good that it's hard to say who'll get the [...]

'Dance' boots two more finalists

June
20

Just like last week, "So You Think You Can Dance" dumped another couple, even though they had to dance for their lives separately.

But unlike last week, America got the Bottom Three couples right—and the judges sent home the wrong two.

I actually can't believe I'm defending the elimination of Susie and Marquis, two finalists who I [...]

'Dance' standouts start to emerge

June
19

Last week's "Dance" competition was kind of ho-hum, as the start of these contests usually are. Was anyone really sad to see Rayven and Jamie go? Nah, we hardly knew 'em.

Now, we're starting to see more personality from the finalists, both on and off the stage. And for some —Jessica, I'm talking to you—they'd better [...]

'Gossip Girl' gets a cougar

June
18

"Gossip Girl" has a new hottie, and she's out of high school.

Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Madchen Amick has been cast as a "cougar" named Catherine Mason, who'll be the older gal tempting Nate (Chase Crawford) into a May-December romance.

Did Shane Sparks leave 'Dance?'

June
18

Anyone else been wondering where Shane Sparks has been hiding on "So You Think You Can Dance?"

The hip-hop choreographer has been with the hit FOX competition since its debut, yet he's been mysteriously AWOL from the show so far this season.

Never fear.  Zap2It.com confirmed that the [...]

William Hurt joins 'Damages'

June
17

Man, "Damages" just gets better and better—and it doesn't return to the air for more than six months.

Oscar winner William Hurt—currently starring in "The Incredible Hulk"—will join Glenn Close and the rest of the cast when the show kicks off production of Season 2 in NYC next week.

FX was candid about withholding details of Hurt's [...]

Two contestants eliminated on 'Dance'

June
13

Adios, Rayven and Jamie!

We're sad to see you go, but since we barely got to know you and all, well … see ya!

The judges made the appropriate call in eliminating this couple—which conveniently means no partner-swapping next week—who gave one of the worst "Dance" performances Wednesday night.

But boy, did America get it wrong with [...]

Top 20 performs for first time on 'Dance'

June
12

So we got to see which Top 10 guys and which Top 10 girls were coupled last night, and it looks like the show scored a few awesome match-ups.

Like Twitchington, yay!.

But of course, 3 couples will be at the bottom based on America's votes. And after tonight's "dance for your life" solos, we'll be [...]

Is Jenny leaving 'Gossip Girl?'

June
11

Looks like little J. may be getting her own TV show.

The Hollywood Reporter claims that the makers of "Gossip Girl" are already looking at a spin-off, set in a girls' boarding school, with Jenny Humphrey (played by cutie Taylor Momsen) as the possible star.

Makes total sense. The "GG" books spun Jenny off into her own [...]

'Dance:' Top 10 guy has a Schwimmer connection

June
11

Last year's "Dance" competition had lots of family ties: There was Lacey Schwimmer (Season 2 winner Benji's little sister) and Danny Tidwell (Season 2 runner-up Travis Wall's adopted brother) and Faina Savich (Season 2 finalist Stanislav's sister).

As far as I know, there aren't any siblings of ex-contestants this time around—perhaps the show was a wee [...]

'Damages' gearing up for Season 2

June
10

Everyone keeps yammering on about how the writers' strike wrecked the mainstream fall-spring TV season.

While true, I'm more upset about how the strike ruined this summer's schedule: With a few exceptions, the small screen is pretty much a wasteland for the next few months.

For instance, I'm recalling how happy I was about last year's warm-weather [...]

'Dance' reveals the Top 20!

June
6

After a grueling week (or two hours in TV time) in Vegas, "So You Think You Can Dance" finally revealed what we've all been waiting for: the Top 10 guys and the Top 10 girls.

Whoo hoo! Let's get this dance party started, right?

Last night had some highs (Debbie Allen and Mia Michaels in a faux [...]

'Dance' wraps up auditions

June
5

Let's call last night's episode of "Dance" what it really was: A slapped-together collage of the remnants of the auditions.

Now, I'm no Milwaukee hater, but clearly the chilly city didn't yield enough interesting dancers to fill two hours of air time.

So the show was forced to hop back and forth from Milwaukee to previous audition [...]

Harold Perrineau not happy with his 'Lost' exit

June
2

Jin's fate may be up in the air, but "Lost" fans know that one castaway definitely went bye-bye when the freighter went boom in Thursday's season finale: Michael.

The sad dad tried to make up for killing Ana-Lucia and Libby by helping the 815ers as Ben's spy on the boat, and he did help (most of) [...]

'Dance' auditions move to Charleston, D.C.

May
30

I know I've said this before – and perhaps I'm a little cranky because my brain's turned to mush after over-analyzing last night's "Lost" finale. (Yes, it's been a frenzied, TV-watching 24 hours.)

But once again, I honestly don't care one lick about the "So You Think You Can Dance" auditions.

Get me to Vegas already!

Charleston [...]

'Lost' finale: Jack IDs the 3 dead 815ers, clips of the alternate coffin endings and more!

May
30

If you watched the 8 p.m. replay of the May 15 installment of "Lost"—the first hour of the "There's No Place Like Home" finale—you probably sat up on the sofa at the same time I did. (At the 13-minute mark, to be exact.)

That's when the show neatly inserted a re-edited version of the Oceanic 6 [...]
