Might CBS still save Jericho?

April
7

According to the New York Times, CBS Paramount has “held talks” with cable provider Comcast regarding Jericho.snakeflag.gif

This is along the lines of the deal that NBC announced last week that it had struck with DirecTV to keep Friday Night Lights on the air for at least one more season. The satellite television provider will subsidize the production costs and in exchange will get the right to air it first.

Here’s how FNL got saved:

From NBC’s perspective, “Friday Night Lights” did not draw enough of a crowd to be continued. On average, about 6.1 million people tuned in to it this season, but fans were loyal enough to send thousands of mini-footballs to NBC to lobby for the show.

NBC knew it needed a partner, and an opportunity arose in January when Eric Shanks, the executive vice president for entertainment at DirecTV, struck up a conversation with his friend Ben Silverman, the co-chairman of NBC Entertainment. DirecTV licensed the rights to the “first window” of the show, meaning that DirecTV subscribers will see the new episodes four months before the broadcast audience.

Of course, I’d hate it if I had to wait four months to see new episodes, but I’m thinking DirecTV would wager it’ll get some new subscribers this way.

The difference with Comcast is that it’s a cable provider, and you still can’t choose your cable company in most areas. Where I live, it’s Cablevision. When I was in Arizona, it was Cox. I’ve actually never lived anywhere served by Comcast (except maybe in my poor college days when I didn’t subscribe because I couldn’t afford it, but I don’t even know what cable companies served Chicagoland or Louisville).

But that’d still be better than nothing, eh?

The movie meme

April
7

More than a month ago, Rickey over at Riding With Rickey tagged yours truly with a meme. Revenge for a meme I’d tagged him with, I suppose.moviereel.jpg

Anywho, I kept meaning to hold up my end of the bargain, and I finally have. It’s the movie meme, and the idea is that I’m supposed to look up my 15 favorite movies on IMDB, choose quotes from them, list them here and make you figure out what movies they are.

Aha, but this is a TV blog, I hear you thinking! Never fear, I’ve got that all figured out. No worries, I didn’t choose a bunch of Lifetime women-as-victim movies. Rather, I started with actors from our favorite TV shows. Then, I found relatively well-known characters they played in movies, found quotes from them and posted them here.

So not only do you have to figure out what movie the line is from, but you also have to figure out which actor uttered it. To make things a weeeeeee bit easier, I’ll tell you the actors I selected, but they’re not in the same order as the quotes. I’ve alphabetized the actors, by last name:

Adam Baldwin (Chuck)
Alec Baldwin (30 Rock)
Summer Glau (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles)
Katherine Heigl (Grey’s Anatomy)
Cheryl Hines (Curb Your Enthusiasm)
Jim Krasinski (The Office)
Hugh Laurie (House)
Chi McBride (Pushing Daisies)
Mary McDonnell (Battlestar Galactica)
Sandra Oh (Grey’s Anatomy)
Edward James Olmos (Battlestar Galactica)
Donald Sutherland (Dirty Sexy Money)
Kiefer Sutherland (24)
Skeet Ulrich (Jericho)
Ray Wise (Reaper)

NO CHEATING. You may not look the quotes up on IMDB and then get all the answers correct. You must use your brain; you know, the part of your brain that stores all that useless movie trivia. You all have it; if you didn’t, you wouldn’t be reading a television blog now, would you?

After the break, the quote list:

Remote Access throwdown! Jenna Fischer, Brad Beyer vie for 'most crucial' supporting actor in poll

April
6

remote-access-poll-pic.jpgYour response has been outstanding so far for our Remote Access poll, which asks you to pick (or submit) your choice for the most crucial supporting actor to his/her show.

We had dozens of initial options at the start—I offered at least one actor for every scripted show we at Remote Access cover on a regular basis—but after 630 votes, it seems to have built itself up into a two-way throwdown between Jenna Fischer (Pam on “The Office”) and Brad Beyer (Stanley on “Jericho”).

Each had 171 votes—27 percent of the total vote apiece—as of this post’s publication.

Interestingly, actors from those shows also fill the poll’s next two slots: Rainn Wilson, Dwight on “The Office,” and reader-submitted Skeet Ulrich, Jake on “Jericho.” (I’d argue that Ulrich is a lead actor, but it’s an interesting poll trend regardless.)

We’re going to keep this hotly contested poll open until Monday, April 14, so you’ve got a little more than a week to launch your last-ditch campaigns for your favorite supporting actors in the poll, which appears in the right column of this blog. Mail all your Northern Attack and Office Tally friends using “limitless paper in a paperless world”! Give your “Jericho” friends on Jeritopia or JerichoNet2 more incentive by shipping them a few packages of nuts! Or throw everyone a curveball and convince “Chuck’s” Adam Baldwin to record a YouTube video requesting your vote for this very poll. (How cool would that be?)

And remember, it doesn’t have to be Fischer or Beyer. As long as it’s a supporting actor, you can pick another name on the list or submit your own.

(Photos of Fischer and Beyer courtesy of NBC and CBS, respectively.)

Nuts to Nielsen

April
3

I read about the latest television consumer effort recently on the Jericho Monster blog and was intrigued.

Dubbed “Nuts to Nielsen,” the idea is that folks send peanuts to Nielsen to point out how many people are uncounted in the company’s ratings sampling program. It comes, of course, from last season’s successful Nuts to CBS effort, which got Jericho a (short) second season. That, of course, came from Jake Green’s response to the suggestion that Jericho surrender to New Bern. Which, of course, comes from that famous story from the Battle of the Bulge … and so on.

The thing that intrigued me about this campaign is that it zeroes in on why quality shows often get canceled before they’re really given a chance —  or, sometimes, even when they have a huge following. The ratings, it seems, reflect less and less of the reality of television viewing, as more television consumers don’t watch television in “traditional” ways, i.e. sitting down in front of the boob tube at the appointed hour and take potty breaks during the commercials.

So I decided to track down the brains behind the campaign to find out how this all came about.

Jon Whitesell, known on the CBS and SciFi boards as NorsU, is 43, married and a father of two boys. Nookie, their dog, is also a huge Jericho fan and watched religiously with the family —he growled every time Valente showed up on screen! (Good dog! I’ll send you a virtual doggie bone.) Jon’s a Controller/CPA with 20 years experience mostly in Telecom startups in the Northeast corridor. He lives in Boston Metro West and is an avid Red Sox, Celtics and Dallas Cowboys fan. Despite his poor taste in sports teams (duck!), I found he had rather good taste in television, as he’s a big Jericho fan.

I sent Jon a few questions via e-mail about the Nuts to Nielsen campaign and then about how he got into Jericho in the first place. My questions are in italics, followed by his responses:

The Great Jericho ReWatch

April
1

Watch it again, from the start.

Starting at 10 Eastern tonight and every Tuesday night for the next 28 weeks, Jericho fans everywhere are going to be glued to their computers for 44 minutes (is that what it is, commercial-free?) watching every episode of Jericho online. The effort is clled The Great Jericho ReWatch. Learn more about it on Radio Free Jericho.

The pilot will be the subject of tonight’s ReWatch, on “The big Green’s couch in Jeritopia.” The idea is twofold:

First, chat with you friends and fellow fans while you watch (always better than watching alone, right?).

Second, well, I’ll let maybei’s words speak for themselves:

That way we show CBS we are still here watching and not watching what they air and not defecting to another network.

A great idea from the folks at RFJ and Jeritopia. Enjoy!

Jericho fans want to make history, for the second time

March
31

The fans of Jericho have proven themselves to be among the most web-savvy in the television watching public.

They taken the next web-savvy step in their efforts to get someone else to pick up CBS’ twice-canceled post-apocalyptic drama, setting up an alternate “official” Jericho site in anticipation of the one on CBS “going dark.”

Here’s the full text of the official press release, so any of you not familiar with the entire Jericho resurrection story can get up to speed:

March 23, 2008 – “How does it feel to be part of history? Don’t Tread on Me!” It’s the new battle cry of the next Jericho fan revolution. On March 22nd, CBS once again canceled Jericho, and within minutes, the fan efforts to solve the problem had kicked back into action. CBS’ serial drama Jericho, originally debuting on September 20, 2006, had been canceled once before, but the network resurrected it after the fans paid homage to Jericho character Jake Green (portrayed by actor Skeet Ulrich) uttering “Nuts!” to a request for surrender during the heat of battle. This line inspired a fan protest involving 40,000 pounds of nuts being shipped to CBS, forcing the network to reconsider its decision and to agree to a seven-episode Season 2.

According to CBS, Nielsen ratings had not been high enough this time around to encourage the network to buy into a third season for Jericho, leading to the show’s second cancellation before the March 25th airing of the seventh and final episode with had been shot with two alternate endings: a cliffhanger if picked up for another season, and an open-ended, show-ending conclusion to the seven episode arc storyline. CBS aired the latter version, and fans, deeming it also to be a cliffhanger itself, were inspired to begin the fight again to preserve Jericho for another round of storytelling.

Rumors had already begun circulating that Jericho’s Executive Producer Carol Barbee had been already ’shopping’ the show to cable networks – where Jericho’s ratings, considered sub-par by CBS, would be stellar elsewhere. According to Barbee and other sources close to Barbee, the SciFi and CW networks continue to be possibilities for picking up Jericho. Fans have now sprung into action, currently sending e-mails and letters and making phone calls to both networks.

Jericho fans – well-versed in their abilities to make a difference through efforts involving over $20,000 in donations to the Greensburg, Kansas, building fund, DVD shipments to troops overseas, and an affiliation with Project Homefront – are now refocusing their endeavors toward an organized multiphase effort to win a new home for their favorite show. They also have set up an alternate online rally point in anticipation of CBS’ Jericho Web site eventually going dark.

For more information about Jericho’s latest fan revolution, or to learn how you can offer your assistance and your voice to making history again by finding Jericho a new home, please log onto www.jerichonet2.com/board to check out the New Save Jericho Campaign details for addresses, contact numbers, and ongoing efforts to give Jericho new life.

Atta boys and girls! UPDATE:  Can’t believe I forgot ‘em, but forgive me all… There are, of course, two other long-running Jericho forums, Jericho Rally Point and Radio Free Jericho, both of which have been great friends to Remote Access. They’re a big part of the fan movement too, and have been from the beginning. Sorry, guys!

Blackjack Fairgrounds: The seventh Jericho blog carnival

March
28

Rubber Poultry’s done it again. Take a look at the poster he created for a Jericho movie:

jericho_movie_poster-2.jpg

MaryAnn Johanson tells us why this was the start of the next American Revolution and how the show was about about the best of what makes America America, in ‘Jericho’ blogging: “Patriots & Tyrants” posted at FlickFilosopher.com.

Len Neighbors shares his usual wry recapping of the finale, emphasizing his belief that “a company this predictable and incompetent couldn’t take over the kazoo market, much less the Western United States,” and wishes the Sci Fi Channel would pick up the show, in Jericho Commentary: Episode Seven, “Patriots and Tyrants” Season Finale posted at Athens Exchange.

Myles McNutt laments what could have been if the show’s producers hadn’t been so crushed for time, if the finale, at least, could have been spread over two hours, in Series Finale – Jericho – ‘Patriots and Tyrants’ posted at Cultural Learnings.

fred really liked Season 2 (especially Hawkins kickin’ some butt!) but says he wished the end had been, perhaps, a little less happy, in Jericho: Patriots And Tyrants posted at TVoholic.com.

Terocious talks about how Skeet Ulrich made Johnston Jacob Green’s evolution over the course of 29 episodes wholly believable, in Where have you been? posted at Jericho Junction.

Doug Mataconis tells us how he loved the finale, particularly the scene in which Beck’s men tear the ASA flag badges off their uniforms, in Patriots & Tyrants: Jericho 2.7, and discusses looks at various reasons why the second season didn’t do better in the ratings, in A Jericho Post-Mortem, both posted at Below The Beltway.

Erika (kricka) refuses to eulogize Jericho in Don’t Say It’s Over!, posted at Short Story Life. She has a great new bunch of motivators posted, too, you’ve gotta check them out. Erika also points us to The Fall of Jericho over at The Grub ReportJericho’s the show that made this snarky recapper feel, dammit!

Anna can’t believe it’s over, so she won’t and gives us links to find out more about saving Jericho, after her usual excellent recap, in Jericho 3/25: “Patriots and Tyrants”, posted at A Day In The Life. (Anna: You’re welcome, and thank you for taking part! Thanks to all of you for making this carnival a success, actually!)

Jane is so in with the In Crowd that Jennie Sword (Townsperson Jennie) sent her a photo of herself with April Parker (Darcy) at the wrap party and a lovely note. You can read all about it over at Monster Exclusive: Jennie and April posted at Jericho Monster.

Amanda decides to focus on the positive and talks about all the good stuff that happened, in Jericho 2.07: Patriots and Tyrants, posted at FADPOV.

Edna & Margie, Jericho’s oldest residents and good friends of Remote Access, share their tale of how they came to little Heather Lisinski’s defense in Margie and Edna vs. Major Beck posted at Margie and Edna’s Basement. Remind me never to get them ticked off at me. Oh, and speaking of, here’s an interview they did with yours truly, in Amy Vernon tells all!

And, don’t forget, the ladies did this week’s guest blog, here.

Finally, here’s the links to this week’s Jericho posts from yours truly: My thoughts on the cancellation. My live thoughts on the finale. My aftermath thoughts.

Don’t forget to vote for Brad Beyer/Stanley Richmond in our poll over on the right!!!

Jericho: Margie & Edna talk about Patriots and Tyrants

March
28

Once upon a time in a small Kansas town named Jericho, bombs fell. The spirit of community and caring for one’s fellow man brought hopes of survival. What the town lacked in numbers they made up for in passion. Passion to survive, to live, and passion to save Jericho.

Jericho became the little town that could. It became a town that inspired, nurtured dreams, and fed spirits.

What will be Jericho’s fate?

Will Margie and Edna know?

++++

Margie: Edna, you know Mr. Hawkins gave us this phone when he went to Cheyenne because he was afraid something would happen to him. He wanted us to be the ones to tell Darcy.

Edna: Margie, don’t you talk like that. Let’s hope that we won’t have to give any bad news to Darcy. Besides, you know you love having that phone because you think you’ll get some inside information with it.

Margie: Well, Edna, I don’t want bad inside information. You know it was bad enough that Stanley had to wait four days to bury Bonnie.

funeral.JPG

Edna: Oh, I know, wasn’t that just horrible? With everything else going on in town, and all the hiding-out they had to do, I’m glad he finally got to take her out to the Richmond farm where she belongs.

Margie: Oh, mercy, Edna, it’s the phone! It’s Mr. Hawkins. What? Who shot you?
Edna: Margie, don’t you hog that phone! What’s he saying? Who shot who? Is he dead???

Jericho: "Patriots and Tyrants" aftermath

March
26

Honestly, I’m not absolutely sure what to add to my thoughts from last night.

Given the fact that Jericho producers crammed an entire season’s worth of storyline into seven episodes, I thought they did a masterful job of wrapping it all up neatly enough that we wouldn’t have aneurysms if it did end up being the last episode ever. (Wanna know what would have given me an aneurysm? Check out the interview at TVGuide.com with Carol Barbee where she tells us what happened in the ending we didn’t see.) (Oh, and before I forget – give Brad Beyer some love in the poll over on the right-hand sidebar.)

It, however, also made me mourn the season that wasn’t. And I don’t mean Season 3. I mean a full Season 2.

We might have gotten to know Cheung, so when he was killed, it would hurt us.

We might have seen Chavez making his case to the Texans, biting our nails as he desperately tried to convince them to give Jake & Hawkins amnesty or to shoot down the ASA jets.

We might have seen Heather in jail for longer, with Beck visiting her upon occasion, still trying to convince himself he was right, but deep down knowing she was. (Side note: How awesome was it when she called him a coward!?)

We might have seen Beck in jail as his men had to be convinced to really look at the evidence.

We might have seen Trish truly join the Jericho resistance while still working for J&R, using her inside knowledge to help the Rangers plot out their moves.

We might have seen some of the actual arguments that Gray and others made to keep our Constitutional freedoms, rather than just hearing a summary by some guy in an elevator.

We might have seen New Bern’s true suffering, humanizing its residents a bit more.

We might have seen Johnston in a flashback.

We might have seen Gail Green for more than five minutes.

We might have seen.

We might have.

We might.

We.

I’m not going to take any more time berating anyone or any network for what might or might not have been done differently. It wasn’t and we can’t change that.

But you Rangers achieved something truly monumental and whatever happens from here on out, you all should be damn proud of yourselves.

Will we get a season 3 on The CW or Sci Fi? Still could happen. I’m not going to hold my breath. Hey, what do I know? Last time I figured it would never happen and guess what?

The other day, I posted Jane’s motivator, thanking the Jericho cast and crew for all they had done.

Today, I thank you, the Rangers.

(And thanks to Jane for the motivator; click on the image for a larger version.)

And come back Friday for Margie & Edna’s finale recap and the weekly Blackjack Fairgrounds Jericho Blog Carnival.

Jericho: "Patriots and Tyrants" live thoughts

March
25

Fabulous. Hawkins has no idea how they’ll find the bomb. I love these guys.250px-gadsden_flagsvg.png

That Cheyenne skyline looks awesome in a totally creepy sort of way.

So that’s Cheung.

New Bern’s going to join them. Russell’s right. Sometimes, the enemies of your enemies are your friends.

Look, I’m a Jeather fan, but there’s something cool about Emily with an automatic weapon.

God, I do loves me some Jake and Hawkins.

Smith!

I knew that Jake wouldn’t listen and would come out and save the day.

In a way, Constantino’s right. But he’s also wrong. The problem here is that these soldiers actually think their government is legitimate. The way to win is to reveal the truth.

Eric has a spine. Well, how’s about that. Good for him.

THEY CANNOT KILL HAWKINS.

Hawkins is completely right, but THEY CANNOT KILL HAWKINS.

96729_sg2071.JPG

Wow. Mimi manages to sweet-talk someone into doing what she wants instead of bullying them. (But when did Marlo Stanfield join the AS Army? lol)

Good for Gray, going home. Be a leader, man. Be the leader Jericho needs.

Beck’s going to tell them they were right.

I believe this government is corrupt at its core. Its actions are criminal and I no longer recognize its right to lead.

Hopefully, by the time Beck’s superiors decide what to do, Jake and Hawkins will have done what they need to do.

A Cessna vs two fighter jets?

OK, Chavez more than did his job. He got the Texas Air Force to protect Jake and Hawkins. AWESOME.

They’d better save Hawkins.

Fare thee well, Bonnie.

I love Mimi. Once upon a time, I totally hated her. But I love her now.

You rock, Heather. You may be a girl, but you’ve got a titanium-coated pair.

I think I see romance in Beck and Heather’s future. Unless his wife is still alive, that is.

I just got chills. (When Beck’s soldiers called him sir.)

Gray put up the Gasden flag! You rock, Gray. You might not be the absolute lamest mayor ever.

Save Hawkins or you have me to answer to, you Texans!

What an awesome last line.

How’s it feel, making history?

Yeah, Jericho fans, how’s it feel?

By the way, vote in the poll in our right-hand sidebar, give Stanley some love!

Plus, some finale-night linkage, after the break: Read more of this entry »

On Jericho

March
24

Note: I’ve had a lot of trouble writing this post, and I don’t really know why. So if it seems a bit herky-jerky at points, please bear with me.

I’ve never been part of a campaign to resurrect a show or keep it on the air.

Until Jericho.

I was excited for its premiere and thought the pilot was excellent. Then things were slow for a few episodes, but by the mid-season break, it was on a roll.

The break happened not long before the December holidays, so it seemed to make sense that it was just off for a couple of weeks. But CBS never said anything about it. Jericho was gone. But was it gone for good? Or was it coming back, and if so, when?

Then, nothing. And nothing. And nothing. All the other shows had returned from winter break. All the midseason replacements (such as 24 and American Idol) had long since started.

One day, apropos of nothing, I happened to notice that Jericho was starting up soon.

To give the network credit where credit’s due, CBS did at least air a recap episode to catch folks up if they hadn’t been watching the first half of the season. And the first new episode gave those of us who’d been following the story some answers to some of the questions out there — what did Jake do for those five years he’d been gone from Jericho? Who — and what, exactly — was Rob Hawkins?

But Jericho was on against American Idol.

In the land of Nielsen ratings, that’s pretty much suicide. (Or homicide, in the case of the network putting up a show against AI.)

Its ratings were still decent, but not enough for CBS, apparently. After the season finale aired, CBS finally announced that Jericho wasn’t going to come back.

No one expected it, because the ratings weren’t bad and given its competition, one might even call them pretty decent. And given that CBS never really told people it was coming back, they were pretty darn decent.

But, see, that’s where the problem starts. The Nielsen ratings. Read more of this entry »

CBS says "no" to more 'Jericho'

March
21

UPDATED:

“The March 25th episode of Jericho will be the series finale,” CBS said in a statement. “Without question, there are passionate viewers watching this program; we simply wish there were more. We thank an engaged and spirited fan base for keeping the show alive this long, and an outstanding team of producers, cast and crew that went through creative hoops to deliver a compelling, high quality second season. We have no regrets bringing the show back for a second try. We listened to our viewers, gave the series an opportunity to grow, and the producers put a great story on the screen. We’re proud of everyone’s efforts.”

The Hollywood Reporter has announced that CBS has decided not to pick up a third season of Jericho.

nukebomb.jpg

Carol Barbee has said, in the past, that perhaps Jericho could find a home on a cable network (the Sci Fi Channel’s been airing re-runs), but this is what THR said:

The ending that will air Tuesday night doesn’t entirely slam the door on the series, but is different than the cliffhanger version, sources said. It also doesn’t preclude the possibility of “Jericho” finding a second life on cable, though the economics of the production will likely prevent a continuation of the show.

I’ll discuss this later. Sad now.

Blackjack Fairgrounds: The sixth Jericho blog carnival

March
21

Well, we still don’t know what’s happening for our beloved Jericho, but Tuesday’s episode was, as usual, fantastic.

We have tons of bloggy goodness, so I’ll just jump right in, starting with the rock stars of the Jericho fandom, Edna & Margie. (Margie & Edna? I don’t want to get in trouble, girls, I love you both!)

Yes, Jericho’s oldest residents submitted an entry this week, at their brand-new blog, Margie & Edna’s Basement. Entitled Clue-Les Moonves: Hanging Yourself, I think you can tell where the ladies are going with this.

Then, we have Boondoggie, who reminded us all how Jericho really got saved in the first place (the online Save Jericho efforts were every bit as much responsible as the nuts were) and offered excellent advice for a last-ditch effort, in Helping Build the Buzz for Jericho, at Find The Boots.

Jericho: Jake's delirium

March
20

See, this is the danger of having guest bloggers. They show you up with their creativity.

Our friend Terocious of Jericho Junction volunteered to be one of our Jericho Season 2 guest bloggers and I happily accepted.

What follows is his interpretation of Jake’s thoughts during his delirium under Beck’s torture in Episode 6, “Sedition.” The only other note I need to make is that Tero included lines Jake has uttered from all 28 episodes to date.

Enjoy.

Jericho: "Sedition" aftermath

March
19

I’m trying to confirm the “Season” vs “Series” finale issue. We all know they printed “Season” on the screen. I’m just hoping (frankly, for CBS’ sake as much as my own) that it wasn’t a mistake, because CBS is gonna be in a whole heap of trouble with the fans if they come out with, “Ooops! Sorry! We meant to put the teaser that said ‘Series finale,’ but Oscar in the mailroom misplaced the memo.”

The radio silence is deafening, though. It would be cool if that’s how they decided to announce the decision, but then follow it up with an “official” announcement on the boards or the site or something.

jakebeck1.jpg

That’s all I’m going to say on that issue, though, because we can all drive ourselves crazy over Jericho’s future, or we can discuss the present. Right here, right now, I choose the latter.

Seeing as I covered a lot of bases during last night’s live thoughts, I’m going to focus on something that might not be the most popular topic right now: Maj. Beck.

I still have faith in the major. That doesn’t mean that I’m not ticked off at him, but he is in a tough spot.

Let’s look at things from his perspective for a moment. Bear with me.

Jericho: "Sedition" live thoughts

March
18

OK, here’s my immediate thoughts on tonight’s episode.

First, who else noticed that at the end of the “coming next week” promo, it called it the “SEASON FINALE”??? Are they trying to tell us the good news that way or are they just trying to keep us guessing?

96729_sg2061.JPG

OK, so, this is what I have to say about “Sedition”:

• Robert Moore, eh? Nice J&R ID, Hawkins. So what other major corporations do you have fake IDs for?

• Go Jimmy!!! Love how he apologized to the soldier he held a gun on. That is so Jimmy. Love this guy!

• So, a ransom note for gas and ammo? Nice touch.

• Beck’s pretty hardcore, keeping Jake awake for days in a bright, sunburn-worthy light. But Jake’s even more hardcore. Wow. Pretty intense, spitting on the letter he’s asked to sign. Jake ain’t no pretty boy.

Len Neighbors’ weekly recap, Jericho Commentary: Episode Five, “Termination For Cause,” over at Athens Exchange is rather amusing this week; love the comments about Hummers and shell casings happening “to be the contents of the parking lot of every happening club in Atlanta,” though they’re a bit unusual in Jericho, he admits.
