In other news, Tina Fey made the covers of Entertainment Weekly and Marie Claire as “Baby Mama” hits the big screens. The Marie Claire piece is as told to co-star Amy Poehler. IESB.com has an unbelievable nine clips from the movie posted. I’ll wait to see it in one shot rather than piecemeal, though.

Meanwhile, as mentioned in the vodcast, “MILF Island” T-shirts hit the NBC Universal Store almost as soon as the episode was over, joining Sheinhardt Wigs, The Tracy Jordan Meat Machine and Jenna’s Me Want Food as fictional phenomenons to be graced in silkscreen. A little pricey at $22 to $24, though, no?

And lastly, when someone’s giving something away for free, it seems like a shame to me not to take them up on the offer.

Well, Hulu is doing just that with not only “MILF Island” but The Office’s “Dinner Party” as well (and presumably any future episodes this season and perhaps beyond). If you’re not familiar, Hulu is the greatest invention since dark beer and Cadbury Creme Eggs. And you can check it out at hulu.com.

The site Concurring Opinions had a super-long chat recently with Ron Moore and David Eick, BSG’s creators. They discussed pretty much everything:

Our interview is structured in three parts. Part I, available in two files (see the end of this post to download), focuses on the issues of legal systems and morality. It examines the lawyers and trials in the show. It also examines how torture is depicted, as well as how the humans must balance civil liberties and security.

Part II examines politics and commerce. It explores how the cylon attack affected the humans’ political system, and it examines how commerce works in the fleet.

Part III examines issues related to cylons, such as the humans’ treatment of cylons, how robots should be treated by the law, how the cylons govern themselves politically. Additionally, Part III will explore the religious issues involved in the show.


Then, TVGuide.com’s DVD blog discussed how the writer’s strike might affect the BSG Season 4 DVD set. There was a concern that because it seemed likely the season itself could be split in two (which was under consideration before the strike hit anyhow), that the fans could be hit hard, having to pony up $60 for two sets instead of one (Season 4.0 and Season 4.5). But I have the Season 2.0 and Season 2.5 sets and, if memory serves, each was cheaper, only $30-$40 apiece, so, personally, I don’t think that’s an issue.

As I said, I’ll post all the new pix in the coming days. They’re really beautifully done photos of our favorite humans and humanoid Cylons.
