Two days until ‘Lost’ premieres! Check out a Locke sneak peek…

Are you appropriately giddy and gleeful that we ALL go back to the island in TWO DAYS?

When “Lost” last left us, we finally got to see who was in that coffin: John Locke. Or, should we say, Jeremy Bentham?

Wednesday night’s double-episode Season 5 premiere starts right where we were, with Jack and Ben in the funeral parlor viewing Locke’s corpse. As the season progresses, we’ll find out how and why Locke died – and why it’s so important to bring him back to the island.

But on premiere night, we’ll see Locke alive and well – sort of – right after Ben moved Mystery Island.

Check out the sneak peek below, and afterwards, answer this question for me, Lost-philes: Where have we seen that plane before?

‘Lost’ season premiere: We’ve seen it! Ha, ha, ha ha ha!

Aw, I didn’t mean to tease you. Okay, maybe just a little!

But yes, it’s true, ABC handed out a little Christmas gift to us media folks in the form of the first two episodes of “Lost” — three whole weeks ahead of the Jan. 21 premiere. (We must have been good little boys and girls this year.)

Anyway, speaking of teasing, what can I tell you about the premiere that won’t have Team Darlton feeding me to the smoke monster?

Well, how about this? And let me channel Hurley for a moment: Dudes, it’s totally awesome.

The first hour offers complete whiplash, with on and off-island storylines happening all over the place.

Now that Ben pushed that donkey wheel and moved the island, we’re no longer in the world of the flashback and flash-forward: We’re talking shifts in decades, years, months, days. And not necessarily in that order.

I’m sure you don’t plan to miss a moment of the show anyway once it airs, but let me emphasize this point anyway: There should be no bathroom or snack breaks unless you hit your DVR pause button.

It’s that riveting, and potentially that confusing.

But that’s fine with me. One of the reasons to love “Lost” is the challenge of trying to figure it all out.

Believe me, we’re being rewarded for being loyal (a.k.a. “rabid”) fans, who obsess over every detail. If the premiere proves anything, it’s that the show has given up trying to lure new viewers: If you haven’t tuned in by now, forget it. You won’t understand a thing.

Now, it’s all about satisfying the people who made the show a hit.

And boy, does it.

First off, the entire shebang kicks off with an opening sequence that, for the first time, DOESN’T focus on one of the main characters.

Huh, you say? Don’t worry: It may feature a figure who hasn’t had much screen time, but this person is powerful in terms of the show’s greater mythology.

Also, Sawyer spends much of the first hour running around the island shirtless.

New photos from “Lost” season premiere!

With the return of “Lost” still 29 days away, ABC decided to tease us mercilessly by releasing a few choice photos from the Jan. 21 premiere.

And looks like there’s more than one off-island dynamic duo on the loose!

Not only are Jack and Ben working together to (presumably) steal the body of ol’ Jeremy Bentham (a.k.a. Locke), but Sayid and Hurley are an official team, too.

Their mission is still unknown, though. Last season’s finale featured Sayid breaking Hurley out of the asylum to save him from mysterious pursuers: Is this apartment building where they’ve been hiding out? Maybe they’ve been killing time playing a little more chess with Mr. Eko?

Speaking of dynamic duos, click through to watch the latest Dharma Special Access video by producers Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof.

This one is a silly way to sell DVDs of Season 4, without providing any info about the upcoming episodes.

Uh, EXCEPT for that blink-and-you’ll-miss-it flash at the very end…

New ‘Lost’ sneak peek! Jack and Ben pack for more island adventures

We all know the Oceanic Six have to go back to the island. And now you’ve got your first sneak peek at how our favorite new dynamic duo – Jack and Ben – are planning to get the gang back together. (Apparently, Kate may be their biggest problem.)

Anyway, go here to view the clip.

Seen it? Good.

Because based on that tantalizing scene, I’ve got a couple of questions:

• Why is Ben packing: Does time-travel allow carry-on luggage? Or, as Kristin over at E! suggests, are Ben & the O-Sixers booking a flight with Ajira Airways?

• Can Michael and Jin be saved? According to Jack, Locke told him that everyone left behind, including “everyone from the boat” would die if he and the others didn’t come back. We’ve all been assuming that Michael – and probably Jin – actually DID die when the freighter blew up. Could the return of Jack & Co. change that?

• Does Ben know more than he’s saying about what happened when the island moved? Come on, of course he does. We’ll find out eventually, but make your own predictions in the comments below!

Now, if you liked that holiday treat, here’s another: A video Q&A with Damon and Carlton, complete with Santa hats! Our favorite offscreen dynamic duo answer a few fan questions. Well, sort of.

Not stuffed with enough “Lost” goodies? God, you’re greedy.

Oh, all right, after the jump, check out some more just-released cast photos. (The ones above of Jack and Ben are from this new bunch of intriguing pictures, too…)

Latest ‘Lost’ video: New Dharma logo and other Season 5 info!

This “Lost” video isn’t an actual scene from Season 5, a la the sneak peek that explains (sort of) why Kate and Aaron are on the run.

Instead, this one features producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse, who’re pushing ABC’s “Lost” book club. You know how much those Losties love their literature!

Besides pushing some great books (like Jack Kerouac’s “On the Road” and Stephen King’s “The Stand”) that have ties to the show, the super-producers let some tidbits slip about what’s to come in the new season.

Go here to view the video yourself.

Or keep reading for the highlights, like what’s on Benjamin Linus’s book list and the first glimpse of yet another Dharma logo…
